Raffael DiLauro is a well-known, award winning artist whose work—whether a bold, vibrant painting or a small detailed etching—has been described as a visual narrative. A native of New Haven, CT, he graduated from the Paier School of Art and studied at the Los Angeles Art Center College and New Haven’s Creative Arts Workshop. He is the owner of two downtown New Haven mainstay stores: the eclectic boutique, Group W Bench, and Gallery Raffael. Both he and his wife, Joyce, the founder and artistic director of Starship Dance Theater, are active members of Connecticut’s arts community.
From the author: Through his art, my good friend, Raffael DiLauro, is a storyteller; one who hopes that in his work people will also “find their own stories.” Therefore, our collaboration seemed to me, perfect. We hope that our The Long Road collection stirs your emotions based on your own life’s experience and observations, and stretches you to wonder about the “whys” and the “what ifs” and the “ever afters.”
